Brian Cowin Director of Ground Defense
Brian Cowin is the Director of Ground Defense at INPAX Academy. He teaches a variety of programs to include adult and childrens’ Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, as well as Combat Jiu Jitsu. Brian is an Army Infantry veteran who graduated from Slippery Rock University in 2010 and was awarded his black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu by Marcello Monteiro in 2016. Brian has 20 years’ experience creating engaging educational programs for children and adults in the non-profit world. After competing in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for the first time in 2003, Brian went on to compete in 400 advanced division matches over the next 12 years, winning pro tournaments in five weight classes. Brian is also known for working on the film Foxcatcher where he worked as the stunt double and stand-in for Channing Tatum. Brian joined INPAX because he believes life is too short and too important not to make a difference. INPAX is a company unlike any other, with multi-talented professionals that care about the community. He believes excellence is the minimum standard, and that INPAX stands by the commitment to provide training experiences beyond what most people have access to in the United States.
